👁‍🗨️ I chose it to replace another product that worked entirely automatically and was unable to give me certain intensity measurements. I use it to check the operation of solar panels. These operate on direct current. But the micro inverter offering a variable load, the voltage was considered alternating with my previous model.

✅ Here, you have a button that allows you to switch from continuous to alternating mode and therefore to have a real measurement.

✅ To avoid any complications, there is even a direct zero access button. Indeed, measuring the amperage with the clamp is subject to ambient background noise.

✅ There is an on off button that prevents accidental switching on in a bag. However, there is also a timer that will turn off the clamp if you do not do anything for about 10 minutes. 

✅ The screen also has a backlight. (Well, it is not super powerful) I appreciate the precision of the measurements with a display of three points behind it, for a maximum of 2 amps. 

✅ The NVC function is really useful for knowing if a conductor is live without having to open the socket. This is not foolproof but saves a lot of time. 

🚧 It is not designed for very high amperages but will cover all the values ​​you can find in a house or building. At this price, like professional tools, of course. The clamp only opens 17 mm for example.

🚧 There is a current detection function called NVC that should warn you before touching a conductor. Unfortunately the sensitivity is not sufficient for 100% detection, so keep your precautions. I have never had a false positive, on the other hand it does not light up all the time despite the presence of current. You really have to orient it specifically for that.
